Looking to satisfy your need for speed on the ocean? Then pay a visit to Lip-Ship Performance, Inc. in North Miami, Florida and meet its founder and president, Phil Lipschutz. What makes Lipschutz such an authority you ask? How about the fact that he has been captaining his own boat since he was five, winning boat races since he was seventeen and playing a part on the Cigarette Racing Team since he was 32 years old. Lipschutz is the only exclusive Cigarette Dealer in the world and one of the most winning boat racers today. Lipschutz is well known for customizing, designing, owning, selling and racing the one-of-a-kind Cigarette boat.
Lipschutz always aspired to be in the boat business. In 1985 his long time firend, mentor and eventual racing partner, Ron Doller, convinced him to move from Cincinati to Miami, to join the marine industry. Working for Doller Marine, Inc. Phil's dream became a reality. While transporting the world class Cigarette boats all over the country, Lipschutz' responsibilities included delivering the boat to its new owner by launching it, demonstrating its features and coaching the new owner through his/her maiden voyage. Then in 1990, Lipschutz ventured out on his own. Combining his work ethic, product knowledge and love for high performance boating, he founded Lip-Ship Performance, Inc. |

| Established initially to service and broker pre-owned Cigarette boats, Lip-Ship Performance, Inc. soon became a Cigarette dealership authorized to sell new boats. The good news travelled fast and far, leading Lipschutz to not only sell boats accross the continent, but to Asia, Europe and South America. One sale led him to navigate over 1500 miles of open seas to personally deliver a custom 38' Top Gun from Gibraltar to its new owner in Portugal.
Over the years, Lip-Ship Performance has grown into a major force in powerboat service, maintenance, sales and racing. In 1999 Lipschutz consulted with Cigarette's Vice President of Manufacturing, Neil Hernandez to design the first TWIN-STEP Cigarette Race boat. That same year he throttled the new boat and coached the rookie driver and former Cigarette factory owner, Jack Cabasso to victory. He and Cabasso won Superboat International's 1999 F2 - Manufacturer's Class National Championship. |
Lipschutz spends approximately 330 days a year driving these boats to perfect his craft - strategizing how to make the boats run better and faster - while systematically testing each modification. The ultimate test comes when he races. His racing experience and history of success adds to his ability and credibility among his customers to consistently deliver an awesome product. |
